1. Launch BG:EE (220.127.116.11 open beta).
2. Set language to Russian.
3. Start a new game.
4. Talk to Firebead Elvenhair and then to Tethtoril.
5. Observe the journal.
The text in the journal (string 32885) reads "placeholder"
The text in the journal (string 32885) should show English (if not translated) text
Internal report: #36869
This is a very important issue. Currently strings that are yet not translated into other languages than English doesn't show any text, only "placeholder". This way players currently can't understand what is going on, what is happening, what is being said by NPCs, what is written in the journal. It makes certain parts completely vague and immediately stops fluent playthrough.
Currently in the open beta of BG:EE there're 134 strings (32752 - 32885) which are not translated in Russian shown as "placeholder", so 134 times during BG:EE players won't understand what is happening.
There's always a chance translations cannot be kept up to date as quickly as needed for the patch release. New strings might be added to the game just before the final patch release.
