Skull Trap does not trigger

Skull Traps wont trigger when enemies run through the area. This happens almost all the time, but is hard to display due to needing to cast the spell at the enemy, so it's hard to provide a save file where it happens with preset traps. This save is in Durlag's tower. Talk to the remaining watcher, all conditions will be met. enemies will both spawn in AND run through the traps (sometimes the one running through will trigger it if it stops in the area), triggering none of the 8 on the map almost every time (usually 2 of 3 in a cluster when the one enemy stops). 8 is overkill, but it's designed to prove a point, and that point is that someone broke skull trap at some point. It always used to work fine and is now a waste of a spell known. it only ever triggers consistently on my own people which is utter nonsense and not the point of the spell.
My version displays 2.3 which was not selectable but it has been there for some time. I selected 22.214.171.124 because mine is updated so I assume it's that one.
