Description

  1. Load the attached save game.
  2. Use Abdel's Stone to Flesh scrolls to unpetrify the five statues.
  3. Jump ( Ctrl-J ) to [3032.1806]
  4. Talk to Herod; select ( 1 > 1 )
  5. Note that Vessanal starts a dialogue and then walks away.
  6. Jump ( Ctrl-J ) to [1127.3181]
  7. Note that Brielle starts a dialogue and then attacks.

Observed

Brielle and Vessanal behaves as if they were just unpetrified.

Expected

Brielle and Vessanal should not behave as if they were just unpetrified.

Attached file of my saved game. It will allow you to look at the journal and see I had no quest from Teleria. It'll also allow you to see the villagers that I've already turned back into flesh. Walking west will eventually trigger the Brielle bug that I'm discussing (Brielle is still located at the base camp).

Original report:
I had 11 scrolls of stone to flesh on my character that transferred from BG1. Upon entering the first big map with the camp site, I wandered north and found five stone statues. Naturally, I unfroze each person, thinking that I had found an easter egg (similar to the stone statues in BG1). They gave me a very small reward and wandered off.

As I continued to explore, I ran into Herod. He gave me a reward for freeing the people who had been stoned. Teleria, however, was nowhere to be found. In fact, I had no idea she even existed until this next part.

When I returned back to the base camp, Brielle attacked me claiming that I tricked them. I couldn't figure out why this was happening until I searched online. This is apparently the reaction that the player is supposed to get if you lured Brielle into the trap and then later used a Stone to Flesh scroll on them.

My suggestion as a fix for this is to simply make it impossible for the player to use stone to flesh scrolls on the statues until they have spoken to Teleria. Maybe make them an obstacle that cannot be clicked on until a certain dialogue is triggered (somewhat like the hidden treasure from the menhir quest).
