Overhaul the portrait selection screen

In 1.3 we could choose portraits from a scrollable list.
In 2.0 we now must click through all portraits one by one, and the selector doesn't differentiate between the sizes of the images. When you have hundreds or thousands of portraits this is completely unworkable.

In Feature #20445 Adul asks that the behavior be reverted back to the 1.3 standard. To my mind this doesn't go far enough. The 1.3 (and vanilla before it) method is also quite clunky. It really needs a complete overhaul to something resembling a simple Windows file explorer window set to large icons.

It should be searchable and filterable. As a bare minimum, it should filter on *L.bmp, *M.bmp and *S.bmp. Ideally we should be able to enter freeform filters like FDw*L.bmp.
